Guild Wars 2 Wiki talk:Account block transfer

To start out, I think this is an easy way to stop people who vandalized on the normal Wiki to vandalize here. Ditto with breaking the NPA policy or the likes. What do you guys think? Rhydeble 20:57, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) No. Firstly, this would go in the Guild Wars 2 Wiki namespace. And this wiki isn't that wiki. We don't block people for their actions in other places. The communities, rules, and soon admins are different. And I guarantee you Raptors will get real pissed off as soon as he sees this. Calor (t) 20:58, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- No. One example: Raptors. He has done lots of things on GWW, for what I've heard. But he promised not to do a thing here. I don't know for sure he is blocked at the Off 'Wiki, though. --- -- (s)talkpage 21:00, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- sry but i think this idea is gay --Cursed Angel 21:00, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- strong oppose. new wiki, new chance for everyone to do better. - Y0_ich_halt 21:02, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

I oppose this. Banning someone from this wiki when they haven't cause this wiki any problems is pointless. If they do disrupt this wiki, then ban them, but if not, let them contribute. --Edru viransu 21:03, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- I see you mostly disagree with this. Personally I raised this issue not because I was sure I wanted this, but more to get to know everyone's idea's about this issue. On another note, should we state somewhere that users actions on another wiki, should never be raised on this one? I'm just brainstorming about what kind of stuff we will need apart from normal policy's on other wiki's. Rhydeble 21:08, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'd make block transfer optional rather than mandatory. I think its' main purpose should be to allow vandals on one wiki to be pre-emptively blocked on the other. Accounts are shared between both wikis, so mistaken identity isn't an issue. -- Gordon Ecker 11:18, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- the problem here is an equality issue: not all banned people from GWW deserve a ban here. Who i'm talking about is Raptors. If it's possible to transfer only vandalism blocks, then it's ok imo. - Y0_ich_halt 13:22, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
