Anyone know who made this concept art?.-- Shew 01:16, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

As this was made for the Bonus Mission Pack, should we have the image on this wiki? There are plenty of articles pertaining to GW2 that don't have pictures, and if that is the only reason this picture exists, I think it should be removed.-- Shew 23:48, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

It's there to illustrate the Mursaat article. What's the harm in including it? --Santax (talk · contribs) 23:49, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
The Mursaat are going to be in GW2, so we'll have an image of the Mursaat eventually, and this image will probably be deleted. I see the point in keeping pictures associated w/ Utopia and GW:EN, but not the BMP. Eventually, all concept art will need to be categorized by expansion, and I don't think there should be one for the BMP, as that category should only be on the GWW. Like you (or someone else-- I can't remember) said, Utopia & GW:EN concept art was made with GW2 in mind; because of this, I think they should have categories (or possibly one category for both of them).-- Shew 23:53, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
We'll have a new concept art image (maybe! Why would they need to redo all the concept art images?) so when THAT comes out, we'll replace. For the "old" images, just create a [[:Category:GW1 concept art]]. -- Konig/talk 00:08, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Kormir will be a goddess in GW2 (+ the Kormir image is a render), so she's not going to look exactly like her human form (in fact, we already know she doesn't). So do you think we should have categories for just Utopia/ or GW:EN, or should we just have a generic GW1 category? I really don't think the three campaigns should have concept art on this wiki, because the GWW is for that.- Shew 00:20, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Err...I pretty much asked what you just stated. What I'm saying is this: for the GW1 category, do you think images from any campaign should be included?-- Shew 00:47, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Unfortunately, trying to picture link GWW files doesn't work (gw1:File:Kormir.jpg see?). So on that, we only include images we need (likewise with gw1:Category:Guild Wars 2 concept art). And we see Kormir's godly form - the only rendering of her we'll get is the dervish avatar form (assuming there will be such!) and statues. But for this page - i.e., Mursaat - we have easy in-game models, why would either of these two be changed (exclusion of obvious female model for Mursaat)? And even if they are, is there really a need for a whole new concept art for it? Some would say yes, some would say no. For the Mursaat, we might have to deal with this image until we get an in-game model. -- Konig/talk 00:51, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that seems like it'd work. And if it turns out that we don't need any GW1 concept art, the category could be deleted.-- Shew 00:55, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Also bear in mind that the BMP came out after GW:EN, and so adfter GW2 had already been conceived, so to speak. I honestly don't see the problem with keeping OGW concepts on here. Quite often it's difficult to define whether something's GW:EN artwork, GW2 artwork, or both. I don't think concept art will "need" to be categorised by expansion, it's only really used as eye candy or when we don't have a direct screenshot to illustrate something anyway. If it has a use, then it should stay. --Santax (talk · contribs) 17:14, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
The categories would be a way of keeping track of what images are and aren't on the wiki. The BMP focuses on the time before Guild Wars, so that's why I'm against having that concept art on the wiki, though if there'll just be a Guild Wars 1 category (that'll depend on if we even need GW1 concept art on the wiki), then it'd be fine. Utopia/GW:EN are on the border of GW2, which is why I think the concept art should be allowed on both wikis.
Another thing I think is important is that we have all GW2 concept art on this wiki. There never has been (or I've never seen) a place that contains all concept art for GW1. What would be a better place than the official wiki to archive the concept art?-- Shew 17:54, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

(Reset indent) "that'll depend on if we even need GW1 concept art on the wiki" - I'm sure there will be, as even if they are not needed for articles, people will have some on their user pages (just as gw1:File:Snow Battle.jpg is on the GW1W). -- Konig/talk 22:40, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

If that's going to be the only use for it, I think people should upload it using "User_X_image".-- Shew 22:47, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
