Is there any particular reason that the regular dog image can't be used here? No weapons or unique effects that I can see. Sunlion (talk) 22:39, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

The collars look different, but that could just be the lighting in the regular dog image. If the collars are the same, then yeah I don't see the harm in using it for both. - Doodleplex 22:45, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Two reasons, firstly (1) File:Dog.jpg has some filters on it, (2) I think the context of other hounds and the sniper is nice to have. I could have uploaded it over the dog image, but figured the background noise wouldn't make sense for the pet. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 00:21, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
File:Dog.jpg could use an image not in Lion's Arch as there is quite a bit of background noise already in the image. And I agree with you on the filters. Quoting the shared model project page, "If a new picture needs to be taken for an model that is used by many NPCs, try to make the background as ambiguous as possible, ie the NPC could be anywhere", so it probably should have a new picture taken anyway. But if it is a shared model, it should probably use the same image (albeit with a reuploaded, better image). Sunlion (talk) 00:33, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
