but...if the Son of Svanir article is an NPC, then it doesn't belong as a sub-category of organizations...? --Xu Davella 16:05, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Actually yes, see this category for example. 91.82.71.40 16:09, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oh ok then. Sorry man. :) --Xu Davella 16:14, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- They are not NPCs, they are monsters. This group belongs to the bestiary. Chriskang 21:56, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- From Sons of Svanir "According to norn culture, the Sons of Svanir are not evil, nor are they viewed as such. Though they are credited with corrupting nature by other norn, they are allowed to co-exist with the others so long as they do not prove themselves as a threat." They are corrupted norn (NPCs) until they become icebrood (monster). Icebrood has its own page which is in the bestiary category. This shouldn't be. 91.82.215.138 22:12, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- That's what the lore says. The game says otherwise. Check the screenshot again, the son of Svanir is clearly a monster, not an NPC. Chriskang 22:34, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Isn't a Son of Svanir an Icebrood and thus this category should be categorized with both? - Infinite - talk 22:37, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- As I said long ago in the categorization project, I'm a supporter of the categories matching the game mechanics. And the best summary that we currently have for the mechanics is the slayer achievement, which states that sons of Svanir are a distinct group and are part of the bestiary. Chriskang 23:21, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- In case someone missed it, the screenshot that started all this discussion is here. On this screenshot you can see that they're not NPCs and not icebroods. Chriskang 23:23, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, so they're just the group of untainted norn who support the ED. In that case they's still both an organization and a bestiary entry. As for the Son of Svanir article, if it's an ordinary monster, they should be merely categorized into the bestiary. - Infinite - talk 23:32, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- That's precisely what I did before IP reverted it. I put Sons of Svanir into both Category:Organizations and Category:Sons of Svanir, the later being a subcategory of Bestiary, just like all the other species. Chriskang 00:11, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
