Goal[edit]
Finish phase 1 of a Cobalt, with minimal players, using 3 burn phases.
Strategy[edit]
The focus of this run will be to maximize the amount of damage every player can output. A lot of preparation will be required before the attempt. The plan is straightforward:
- Get your down-scaled power attribute to 1380 (the cap) using, in order of priority: equipment, infusions, runes, traits, utilities (sharpening stones), food, sigils.
- anything that gives power beyond the cap should be replaced by something else that increases damage
- strength booster
- combat consumables (including turrets)
Equipment[edit]
Bring exotic/ascended armor and trinkets with power as the main attribute.
Infusions[edit]
- Basic mighty infusion: +4 power
- Mighty WvW infusion: +5 power
- Mighty infusion: +5 power
Runes[edit]
Bring a rune set with power as the main attribute. Scholar and Strength are ideal. Ogre and Hoelbrak are acceptable.
Traits[edit]
In addition to your usual class traits that give a direct damage boost, some classes can boost the damage of nearby allies as well.
Empower Allies | +150 power (5 players) | |
Vigorous Spirits | Frost spirit chance to proc increases from 35% to 70% (5 players) |
For every 5 players present, one should be responsible for bringing each of the above trait.
Utilities[edit]
Bountiful Sharpening Stone. Every player will need to craft this for him/herself because this is account bound.
Food[edit]
- Use any power food if still needed.
- The cake from the birthday booster gives power that goes past the cap. This lasts 10 minutes, so it will need to be reapplied mid-fight.
- Various salads give more damage when you are moving.
- Some foods give boon duration, which helps with might. See here and here.
Sigils[edit]
- Sigil of Force
- Sigil of Battle
Sigil of Nightnot unless we do this during nighttime...- Sigil of Bloodlust
Strength Booster[edit]
+5% damage
