Move to Glint's Lair[edit]

Since there already was a lengthy conversation on Talk:Glint's Lair, I'd like to comment here first before doing anything. After talking about with Greener about this as to how things are made, as well as reading that talk page, I've concluded there definitely is an area called "Glint's Lair", but as for where that area is located, it's only in the story instance of Hidden Arcana (via magic), so having "Hidden Arcana (zone)" is basically saying the same thing twice. Before I get "API" stuff brought up, yes, they probably had to code it like that so it would work in game, but for the sake of not being confusing to readers(and probably in game lore), it would better to move this page to "Glint's Liar" and the different "Domains of..." and the "Glint's Lair"(the last part) being landmarks in Glint's Lair so nothing breaks. - Doodleplex 19:25, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Where'd you place the Special Collections aka Durmand Priory Basement area then? It's technically in the same zone as Glint's Lair.
On an aside, we do have other "zones only in a story instance (via magic)" - Cathedral of Hidden Depths, The Sylvari Dream, and the copy of southern Cursed Shore accessed during A Vision of Darkness and A Light in the Darkness. We should treat all the same way. Konig (talk) 19:47, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
Not entirely, as Glint's Lair is only accessible during Hidden Arcana, and Special Collections can now be accessed via speaking to Ogden(if you're working a certain legendary, so far I've found at least two(edit, found a third), and if they make more new legendaries, perhaps more in the future), so the only place I could put it was in Durmand Priory (location) as otherwise templates would break(and it made sense in my head at 5 am in the morning so....). As to this page, I didn't want to move or do anything major without making sure it was okay first based on that conversation on Glint's Lair page(API and whatnot) and that I myself was confused as to why this existed, so if I was horribly off here, I wanted to know why. - Doodleplex 20:07, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
The mechanical map ("zone") is called Hidden Arcana as well, is what I was getting at when saying "it's technically in the same zone as Glint's Lair" - Hidden Arcana, Arcana Obscura, and the Ogden-accessed instance are all taking place in the "Hidden Arcana" zone, which includes a copied portion of Lornar's Pass, The Durmand Priory Basement, and Glint's Lair area - it's one map, one zone, that is only ever given a name in the API which is "Hidden Arcana". In the same light, there is the mechanical map "zone" Rata Novus in which Research in Rata Novus, Taimi's Game, and the Rata Novus instance accessed via Ember Bay all take place in (which is, ultimately, just a copied segment of Tangled Depths + the Hologram arena). And just like the chapter 3 story steps taking place in the home instance, they share the based objects/NPCs (Arcana Obscura changes it all though), leaving only story-related ones separated from the instances accessed via Ogden or the Ember Bay asura gate. When we talk to Ogden, we're going to the map that contains Glint's Lair and a copy of the Durmand Priory instance, but we're not able to access those two spots. So is that a yes or a no to moving the page? O.o - Doodleplex 01:52, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

Feedback 2021/06/20[edit]

Do the wooden arches surrounding the central bookshelves look similar to the ANet logo? IMO, it looks to be the same, if not a similar model used in Lion's arch, to represent the logo there too. --1.36.132.122 11:20, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
