Acquisition

Speak to Ahel Nakat before looking, as it may not be visible otherwise.

Go to the middle of The Ruptured Heart and look for a Forged Scrap Metal.

The Ruptured Heart may be entered after the Maws of Torment meta event finishes, or by using a Springer mount.

Jackal Path

A fast route if your Jackal has the Shifting Sands mastery unlocked:

Start from  Sand Jackal Run Waypoint — , enter with your Jackal the Sand Portal in the north-east, then run north to the next Sand Portal. You end up way above The Ruptured Heart. From there use gliding, or a flying mount, from rock to rock down until you can see your target and the patrols near it. Wait until they go further away, use stealth (e.g. Stealth Gliding or Stealth (mount)) and drop down behind the target.

Interact with the Forged Scrap Metal to recover the Pristine Piece of Forged Armor.
