- Elder Geras: Our patron, Mosyn, was executed. Brought low by the Scythe of House Aurkus on that very stage.
- Elpis: K-Kanaxai? This was the... Th-that's horrible.
- Elder Geras: We stopped creating. Lady Mosyn was our muse; she fueled our fancies and arts, things not copied from other worlds.
- Elder Geras: Now? Our mouths are filled with Eparch's venom. His...dogma.
- Elpis: What was Lady Mosyn like?
- Elder Geras: She was...vibrant. Her laugh, mirthful. She shone and flowed with colors I did not know our kind were capable of.
- Elpis: She sounds...resplendent.
- Elder Geras: Febe thought so, too.
- Elder Geras: This realm has darkened in the time after; there's no one to keep the old dreams of Febe and Mosyn alive.
- Elpis: You're not 'no one.' And now I know, too.
- Elpis: Perhaps if this rebellion gains more support, I can help carry this burden?
- Elder Geras: Calm yourself, Elpis, I... All right, I'll teach you what I know—but not here.
