Carry the Beacon's Flame to light the Northern Beacon is an event during The Road to Heitor. It requires the players to transport Beacon Light Energy from the Southern Beacon in Memory's Hollow to the Northern Beacon in Mourning's Shade.

These are the expected rewards for a level 80 player.

Walkthrough

To complete this event, simply take an ember (as shown by the buff Beacon Light Energy) from the Southern Beacon to the Northern Beacon. However, as the buff's duration is barely enough to reach the Northern Beacon it is often necessary to use the second mechanic of the event: sacrificing that buff to light one of the mini-beacons along the way. Anyone interacting with a lit mini-beacon while they have the Beacon buff will cause it to regain its full duration.

If the lit beacon is at the halfway point at the Seething Embrace or at The Wailing Chasm then this makes the event easily completable.

Arina: We need you to carry the southern beacon's supercharged energy to the beacon in the north. But there's a catch.

Peitha: Light this bright tends to quickly fade ... so move with urgency.

Arina: Ramses uncovered smaller beacons along the way. Power those up, and their energy can recharge yours when it dies.

Peitha: Do not tarry. Heitor does not lack in confidence, but Ignaxious might grow suspicious

Ramses: You've no beacon flame, Wayfinder. Return to the southern beacon to retrieve one.

Bug:

As of The Realm of Dreams, this now always plays when you have a flame instead of the above line.

Ramses: Wayfinder! Always a pleasure. But you appear to be lacking energy. Return to the beacon last lit. I'll wait.

Ramses: Oh, yes, that's it. Now, let's see if we can't introduce Heitor to the feeling of regret.
