What is going on at the bottom of this descender?

They're test-firing the Ghost Battery below. It used to be our main defense against the ghosts from the old Nolani Academy, but they're not so important now that the ghosts are less of a threat.

Then why is the test-firing of an obsolete weapon so off-limits?

There's talk in the higher circles of a possible upgrade to the weapons that may make them much more effective. Maybe even enough to defeat the ghosts for good. But there are few details beyond that.

It's good to know the Order has you here to monitor things.

Where does this descender go?

Down to the Ghostblast Battery platform. But it's off-limits while they're test-firing the turrets.

What's the Ghostblast Battery?

An array of our long-barreled ghost toasters. Used to be our main defense against the ghosts from the old Nolani Academy.

Bah. Ghosts aren't so much a threat these days as they are a wispy pain in the haunches. Of course, they're still fun to send back to the Mists, or whatever it is we blast them to.
