Testing using a sandbox[edit]
Hey, no big deal about creating a test in the mainspace (everyone does that at least once, if they get interested in contributing a lot).
You can test by creating sandboxes, e.g. User:OkuRaku/Sandbox or e.g. User:OkuRaku/Sandbox/Combo test. You can still call sandbox pages like a template. (You only have to be carefully about categories, but there are ways that you can address that, too.)
The nice thing about sandboxes in your user space are you can do with them as you please: blank them, convert them from testing A to testing B, or requesting deletion. (And, unlike those in the mainspace, there's usually no delay before they are removed, since the admins don't have to wait for consensus for users requesting removal of their own articles.)
If you have questions about wikicode, feel free to drop me a note on my talk page; I'll do my best to answer (or point you to someone who can or a good online resource). Good luck. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:47, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
