User images

Hey, I recently went through orphaned images and found many of your user images. Below you find a gallery of them. Some are duplicates others are uploaded as .png while they should be .jpg. Can delete all of them, but I don't know how to do that, sorry. :/ The images were not updating when I uploaded new ones, so I kinda went around it by adding dates. Sorry for the inconvenience. Ninjazzy (talk) 04:45, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Just a bit of maintenance :) - no problem. When you upload a new version of a file you might need to purge the server cache (either with the button purge at the top when you are logged in or clicking the clock or appending &action=purge to the URL) and clear your local page data (most browsers Ctrl + F5). Most times you need to purge the file page first then the page using the file.

If you want you can move the files to destinations without dates after I deleted the files I listed here.

So for the future you can try uploading a new version, if you encounter problems do not hesitate and leave a talk page comment.

I striked out my comment that screenshots/larger images should be in .jpg format since that does not apply to userspace images.

Potential copy violation

Removed [[:File:User Ninjazzy Profile Full.jpg]] because we do not have any confirmation that the image is used with permission. —Kvothe (talk) 13:53, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
