Captain Magnus[edit]

Hey, good job on the dialogue. The /dialogue pages are used for old dialogue though, I've put the current dialogue on the main page. (We also prefer the not-bold format of dialogue lines ;)) --Sialor (talk) 18:21, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

Oh hey, thanks! And thank you for fixing it. Fegkarion (talk) 19:22, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

level weapon variants[edit]

Hey, there's no need to create pages for the individual variants of the leveling weapons. I'm working on a way to document them all on one page, based on the generic loot items (e.g. Iron Axe (loot)); you can check out Handspar for my current work-in-progress. I've already got all the data from the API, I just have to finalize the presentation. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:33, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

Oh, okay. Thanks for the heads up. And here I was all excited about getting a ~never before seen~ drop I could add to the wiki, lol. Fegkarion (talk) 18:41, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, I haven't actually *seen* the items - I've been playing every day since the feature pack but haven't had a single one drop for me yet. So at least you've got that! —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:46, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Fair enough! Are you also collecting drop research then? I got it from the Veteran Boar near Prosperity Waypoint. Also, is the API where one gets the item ID from? Fegkarion (talk) 20:53, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
We don't have a whole lot of data about drops yet, no, so thanks for that.
Actually, you have to know the ID in order to use the API - or, if you're like me, you crawl the entire API:1/item_details and store all the data in a database. When you just need the ID for an item you found in-game, all you have to do is use the /wiki command on the item's chat link - i.e. type '/wiki ' then shift+click on the item. That will bring up the wiki's search page, where we've written a plugin to decode the chat links. It'll tell you the ID of the link you searched and, if the ID is already in the wiki, a link to the item's page. Here's an example I grabbed out of my browser history. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 21:22, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Oh, thanks! That is quite useful. Fegkarion (talk) 22:46, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
