- Substance Theory was founded in early 2005 by a group of players that banded together to play a variety of online games. Nearly all players in the guild have some experience with Guild Wars, and all have experience playing online games both PvE and PvP. The members of the guild have participated in all styles of PvP play, including all forms offered in the original Guild Wars.
- The name of the guild derives from the philosophical idea. We bring this philosophy to our gaming style, embracing the idea that the guild is only as strong as its individual members. By working to help strengthen one another, we strengthen the guild, and in turn create a better environment so everyone can enjoy playing.
