Welcome to GW2Wiki, the semi-official client for the official Guild Wars 2 game wikis!

Google Play Store

GW2Wiki is a native mobile client to browse the official Guild Wars 2 wikis. It is currently available for Android in the Google Play Store.

Features[edit]

Features include:

  • Full support for all four official wiki languages: English, German, French, and Spanish.
  • A customized layout specifically designed for mobile Android devices.
  • A favorites list to keep track of all your most often perused articles.
  • No ads. Ever.
  • The ability to share the articles you find interesting.

Change log[edit]

v1.0.2 (2 March 2013)[edit]

  • Added some graphic resources for different resolutions
Android will automatically scale graphics to fit different resolutions, but including different size images for each resolution makes for a more consistent appearance.

v1.01 (18 Feb 2013)[edit]

  • Fixed a crash bug when starting the app with no internet connection
There was a null pointer exception in the error handling method when it was called immediately after the app started, because a view that it attempted to hide hadn't been initialized yet.
  • Fixed a bug where the app would reset to English language main page when rotating the screen on any non-English language
When the drop-down list adapter was swapped out for the appropriate layout on rotation, it would reset the language choice to position 1, which is English, and then react as though the user had chosen English from the drop-down menu.
  • Fixed a crash bug involving cache-clearing links
The cache-clearing links were in an unexpected format. They also have no effect on the app, because the Mediawiki API always generates current results, so clicking on them now does nothing.

Contributing[edit]

GW2Wiki is open-source and we are always open to improvements.

  • The source is hosted on GitHub—Pull requests are welcome!
  • If you are not able to contribute yourself, please leave feedback on the talk page.

Other platforms[edit]

  • An iOS version is in a very early stage of design- don't expect this any time soon.
