Comma-separated lists[edit]

Comma-separated lists in addition to the line break in infoboxes are abnormal on wikis and it doesn't look great. I'm not good enough at editing templates to fix this properly. — Cronos 21:06, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

Just to be clear, which is the problem: comma-separation, or line breaks? I think the line breaks look tidier than not having them, but I'll concede there's not much reason for the commas to be there if we're going with a vertical list. —Idris User Idris signature.png 21:09, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Don't really need br tags since the text is going to wrap anyways.--Relyk ~ talk < 21:16, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Eh, I just think the wrapping text is less attractive than a vertical list. —Idris User Idris signature.png 21:18, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Definitely keep vertical list; commas need to be removed. — Cronos 21:35, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Easy fix. Done. :) —Idris User Idris signature.png 21:52, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Ah, thanks! I removed the comma in the wrong place. Wonder what the earlier one does? — Cronos 22:07, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
You know how you input the names as a comma-separated list? The first comma in the code is basically telling the parser to look for commas in that list and use them as a separator. It then takes the separated names (represented by "@@@"), adds links to them where appropriate, and finally strings them back together again using <br> tags. —Idris User Idris signature.png 22:10, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Known as a delimiter.--Relyk ~ talk < 00:58, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
