Template talk:GW1 image
I don't agree with the template movement, since links to GWW also use GW1: << horsedrowner | talk | guild >> 13:01, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
merge[edit]
Would anyone object to merging this template with Template:ArenaNet image? This template would need copyright details if we're going to remove screenshot templates from the images (as I've seen happen), but instead of duplicating it here, we could merge it into ArenaNet image. Guild Wars images could be defined with some kind of parameter (e.g. GW, GW1, Guild Wars).
A flaw I can think of, however, is that an image could only have one ArenaNet image tag, so it couldn't be in both Guild Wars 1 images and, say, concept art. However, I guess it could be argued that we want to keep the 'proper' categories holding Guild Wars 2 images only. Thoughts? --pling 20:17, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- This template has nothing to do with the license, so merging it with ArenaNet image doesn't really make sense. poke | talk 20:27, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well, it would need license information if we're going to remove screenshot tags, making it a license template. Should we remove screenshot tags at all - should that be for Guild Wars 2 images only (I'd say no) or any type of screenshot (I'd say yes). --pling 20:32, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- The trouble is with keeping screenshot tags on those pages is that when people go on the screenshot cat to look for gw2 screens they just get icons of zhed shadowhoof and whatnot. A GW1 screenshot template with all the licensing details of the screenshot template would make more sense, especially seeing as it doesn't really matter whether concept art is gw1 or gw2 stuff (there's a bit of a grey area anyway, considering some of the utopia stuff got reused for gw:en and gw2). --Santax (talk · contribs) 20:36, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
