OK, after some experimenting, I think the "once a day" thing with the riddles is actually 24 hours. Or, maybe 23 hours or reset, whichever is later. Or, something like that.

Can anybody else confirm?

Data:

I did the HP twice in about 12 hours, once on one toon and the second on another. The first toon was able to try another riddle after ~24 hours. However, the second toon could not get either a riddle or the hero point treasure, even though the daily reset had passed, possibly because some number of hours had not passed (24?).
