I'm not sure if these types of seeds drop if you don't have a level 400+ chef. Can anyone confirm? I've not seen them drop on my accounts without a chef yet. Khani (talk) 02:13, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

Similar question - I've successfully harvested with my Chef that is level 500 but not on any of my other toons that aren't the chef but on the same account. Has anyone tested that use-case? They do drop on all characters once the corresponding part of the collection has been finished. Both on characters that are chefs and on characters that aren't. Since they only start dropping after completing the corresponding part of the collection an account that neither has nor had any character with chef 400+ will not drop Varietal Seeds.
