Possible Bug with Vet Devourer:

Fighting it as a warrior. After it got to about 50% health, it would run back to its spawn point and regenerate. Impossible to kill. Also the knockdowns were very large in number. I could hardly get in a hit without being knocked down. Very annoying. That I would have been able to endure if the blastered thing didn't keep healing. 196.210.147.45 18:04, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

Restarted the event, ran through all the branded creatures, and got to the vet in probably about 2 minutes. This time the spawn was in a slight different place, and no bug. 197.85.6.2 18:33, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

What triggers the "boss" to regain his health?

As a warrior I too am finding this one impossible. I have tried now 4 times, different weapons, even upgrading my armour by going to the Trading Post. Since I am a Charr I can call my warband which gives me 2 buddies to help me fight for 30 seconds .. but still I cannot defeat this boss. This is really level 50? I had the same problem as you. Here is how I beat it. Go ranged with longbow and rifle, shoot while strafing and dodging avoiding boulders. Defeated it without dying. Norn Warrior. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.103.246.102 (talk • contribs) at 19:39, 26 May 2015‎ (UTC).

Lots of Dodging, and long ranged weapons, died twice until, but finally beat it on the third try. Still bugged, Anet. Do something about this. Three tickets filed, no response, no fix. Boss regenerates to full health every 2 to 3 seconds, regardless of where it is in the map. Tried this 8 times, with and without a team, ranged and melee, nothing works. Started this at level 52 Norn Warrior. Now level 80, with partial exotic gear. Still cannot get through this. At this point all the story rewards will be useless anyway, so I guess I'll just ignore the rest of the personal story and the fact that I will never be able to use Asura gates to travel to Orr and back.
