For the Achievement "Odds and Ends", if there are two combatants and one is a veteran, I found that the veteran will always win. Futhermore, any buffs applied by the player appear to only apply to the combatant of the player's chosen team. This is helpful when there is not a veteran between the two combatants and you want to sway the fight in your favor. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 108.184.178.253 (talk) at 22:05, August 22, 2022 (UTC).
In response to the above comment -- if there is an Olmakhan fighting, they will win every time regardless of whether they are fighting a Veteran or not. Otherwise, it seems to be randomly selected. I observed 12 battles, 3 of which an Olmakhan Windcaller or otherwise fought a veteran and won. 74.139.216.171 19:41, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
Tierlist[edit]
Spent a couple of hours watching fights to build a tier list. Still some uncertainties and unable to rank certain ones properly since they never fought each other, but this should already help people to get quick winning bets. Below some fight matchups that can help in placing the uncertain ones with additional data:
- Sentinel Legionnaire & Whispers Agent > Vigil Tactician > Order of Shadows Agent
- Whispers Agent > Priory Magister
- Awakened Soldier > Corsair Medic
- Sunspear > Corsair Medic
- Warrior > Corsair Swordsman
- Iron won Blood once, good luck or mistake in tier list somehow?
- Not 100% certain of the 2 vigils that are now mid tier bottoms if they actually beat the top 2 low tiers, haven't witnessed those matchups, but based on other matchups it is likely that they do and are mid tier.
Any help recording matchups that could help place the uncertain ones is welcomed :) --

Additional upsets from today:
- Order of Shadows won over Vigil Tactician, I think this was the other way yesterday.
- Marksman won Warmaster. Went the other way yesterday
- Awakened Soldier and Sunspear won Corsair Swordsman. I'm now confused about the rankings in that part of the list so merged them on one row instead.
- Priory Magister won Whispers Agent, but only after being on the losing end in the beginning of the battle.
