Farming[edit]

The first stage of this mission is an excellant place to farm. It took me a few attempts to do the first stage of this mission but I filled up my invent at least twice. User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 07:53, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

It should be noted that in case of a graphic glitch or error during cinematics while killing priest (first and second form) it helps to minimize gw2 because npc can easily take down boss.I figured this out after 8th attempt to finish mission. Have the droprates on this mission been changed, I just did the first wave again with another char and didn't even get one drop. I didn't even get a drop from the champ at the end. User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 21:20, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Cheesiest death ever[edit]

I just have to say this, but killing off Corporal Beirne was incredibly lame. Cue cutscene:

Deborah: "Aah! It's too powerful!" *falls down*
Beirne: I'll save you! *fires pistol, stands there stupidly and takes hits from wraith, dies*
Deborah: Oh my God, they killed Beirne! *gets back up and immediately starts fighting again*

I mean, really? That Wraith wasn't even a dangerous boss. It randomly decides to aggro on Deborah for no reason? Beirne just sits there and suicides because apparently he can't dodge? You can't revive him afterwards? Blah. I didn't even remember Beirne (he's the first NPC you meet in the human tutorial), but this death was just completely unnecessary and poorly done anyway. I'm not surprised because the quality of the personal storyline took a really sharp nosedive after Claw Island, but I'd say this is about the bottom of the barrel. Glitchy[edit]

This one's mad glitchy. The tank controls are so bad it hurts. Every time I tried to rotate the turret to line up a shot, it bounced me off control of the thing, and a lot of the time I was unable to get back close enough to activate control again for as much as 10 seconds. Whenever this happened, the turret also continued to rotate during the time I wasn't in control of it, stopping only when it was maxxed on the turn radius, forcing more rotation control use to try and realign it. Another glitch, there were only supposed to be 2 giants but either they were rezzing or laying still and regenerating. I was forced to kill giants 4 times to get the mission to continue. This ones really bad, and the undead will continue to swarm until the giants are put down. That leaves a decent farming op if you can solo an unending swarm of undead, but will get most players killed. There are supposed to be six giants. One to the left and one to the right, and you have to kill both sides three times. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 17:19, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
I second how horrendous the glitches are. Just came to this page trying to look for tips on how to deal with this. This is insane. GK The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.25.48.252 (talkcontribs) at 19:41, 29 October 2012 (UTC).
third. The glitches on the tank are horrible. It's like there is an invisible cross turning as you aim, and hit you off the tank. Arena net should be a shame of this. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.255.93.121 (talkcontribs) at 05:19, 2 November 2012 (UTC).
Anyone doing this should avoid using the tank. This glitch was so horrible. I had to resort to using the mortars entirely. The first few times I did this it worked perfectly. So I'm guessing after halloween is when it was introduced. Makes this quest really bad though. 76.123.170.56 21:21, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
…Well, use the tank whenever and for as long as you can, like the page says, because it's actually doable if you get in at just the right angle, though, yeah, you'll get kicked out eventually. But until you are ejected, you'll do mad damage, so go nuts. It'd be almost too easy if you got to stay in the tank. The mortars do fine unless you've wasted too much time on the tank and you've lost your NPC support, in which case you're just as well off rushing the giants. --OldBoy 07:09, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Done this Feb 2013. Tank turret can be rather accurately turned if you use the keyboard, one hit at a time. Even though it took me a long time to become effective and all the npcs died, every time a risen came to hit me it magically died before it could do any harm, so you're safe by the tank. Lastly, I certainly didn't kill 6 giants, only 1, before the objective was accomplished, but I did kill a lot of other Risen. Staff killing blows[edit]

Staff killing blows achievent popped when i was using the tank. Its a funny bug i must say, I'm a ranger and i have a staff killing blow achievement now. ~Ripintheblue88.240.218.104 14:52, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

I'm having a different glitch. I got through the tank part and am at the proceed through the archway part. Everything is now frozen and I can't move. I hate to restart as I've already spent a fair while. But it's been over five minutes and still can't move. I can access inventory and my net works fine. Update on farming[edit]

Did the quest a day or two ago and I was only awarded exp for the first few kills at the tanks, the part in the walkthrough about farming exp might have to be removed 217.15.224.210 16:21, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
