As with any sigil's effects, all professions can use them. It is by no means restricted. Please refer to the sigil article for established information. - Infinite - talk 16:20, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

Someone else needs to test the notes, but I can tell you that my experience shows that swapping kits (engineer)erases the stacks you've gained. At least if the weapon is rifle and the sigil is first slot.

I've tested this several times just now. It does in fact get erased when you swap weapons. The whole stack. This may be a bug, not sure. I tested it with a staff and axe/focus combo on my necromancer. I would build stacks on staff, then swap to axe/focus. Stacks were lost. Yes I was using the demon sigil on both sets. I tried it by swapping around the order of the sigils (offhand vs mainhand and vice versa) as well as changing sigil slots on the staff itself. No difference was made. Gathering, diving into water, and picking up items that change your skill bar all reset the counter. swimming on the surface does not but as soon as you dive it will. 184.18.61.189 19:08, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

Buggy Behavior Preventing Activation[edit]

I've been noticing my stacks of summoning charges disappearing upon weapon-swap (with the tilde ` key). At first I thought it was a bug to do with weapon-swapping, but upon further testing I've found some really weird behavior:

  • It clears the stacks regardless of whether or not the same sigil is on the swapped-to (or swapped-from) weapon sets.
  • Sometimes one weapon set will cease to stack summoning charges altogether while the other weapon set on-swap will still stack charges, and at other times, both sets may stop stacking summoning charges.
  • This behavior has been consistent in my testing regardless of whether the same sigils are also applied to either or both of my aquatic weapons.
  • Sometimes when a weapon set ceases to build summoning charges, it can be 'reset' to work again by applying a new sigil of demon summoning to a weapon.

The hell, right? I hate that these stacks clear when swapping weapons. It doesn't feel intended, either; it feels wrong and buggy, and is not supported at all by the in-game tooltip. Knaive (talk) 17:25, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Removed?[edit]

The January 26th update removes it from PvP, but isn't the sigil still available (e.g. on weapons such as Komalie's Sacrificial Blade)?

Torment duration still confirmed to be bugged[edit]

As of the date of this message, this sigil does in fact not properly grant Torment Duration despite what it says in the Hero Panel. Tested on mesmer scepter skill tooltips. Saiabus (talk) 22:16, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
