How the skill actually works

This page, and the in-game skill description, doesn't actually describe how the skill works.

I.e. When you create a spirit, how and when is Protection applied? On hit? Randomly when you're in range of the spirit? When you /dace?

That needs to be clarified.

Does anyone know if the protection applied by this spirit is affected by the individual player's +boon duration % or the ranger who summoned the spirit to begin with?98.225.41.218 08:08, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

What does Effect recharge mean?

Does it mean that the Stone Spirit (effect) will last for 6s on a character, then go on cooldown for 4s before the character can gain the effect again? --118.101.154.104 18:21, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
