Sandswept Shield picture[edit]

Shouldn't the used picture be that of the shield in its wielded form, since it looks quite different that way (as all Sandswept weapons do). VectorSomething (talk) 09:10, 1 August 2024 (UTC)

Currently the standard for "File:Shield.jpg" is a picture of the shield stowed on the back of the character. It allows to see it fully, but it does have the drawback you mention. Other weapons that used that convention but got changed to always being drawn include greatswords, hammers, rifles, longbows, short bows and staves. The main person to upkeep them is Doodleplex, and I suspect shields haven't had their format changed because it's hard to get a good wielded picture on a female character whilst keeping the chest are out of frame. If you have suggestions or a request to change the format you can post it over at the Community portal. Myriada (talk) 09:25, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
Myriada is correct on everything. Perhaps it could change in the future, (maybe homesteads will allow you to show off weapons?), but for the time being shields will stay stowed as the primary image. - Doodleplex 11:00, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
Is that why the wielded picture (found on the Sandswept Shield's page) isn't used? VectorSomething (talk) 11:12, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
Yes. - Doodleplex 11:14, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
