I'm interested in knowing all the specifics of this if anybody is willing to test it out during the stress test. Thanks! Previously Unsigned 21:58, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Occurs when the channel is complete. The caster himself is included in this skill's definition of "allies". Heals for 1789 with 350 compassion, and 2693 with 465 compassion. 71.193.74.244 19:22, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

So does this proc on Power Return or when Mantra of Recovery is prepared? Gnarf 18:13, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

And for a second i thought it could be useful. I mean, you do try to prepare mantras before the fight, not while in it already when you would need the heal. Lou Wolfskin 12:27, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

sooo what's the aoe?

Very useful[edit]

While it may not be optimal to spec in Inspiration just for this trait, it can be very useful when paired with a full mantra build that is also specced in 3x use and +armor while casting mantras, since the drawbacks of mantras is leaving you vulnerable after exhausting their stacks, this allows you to recast them in combat while in relatively higher safety. --Rapid Sausage 22:50, 14 March 2013 (UTC)

And it's perfect for anyone who likes to use Phantasms for damage. Mantra of Pain can proc this every 5~6 seconds if you spam in on a long fight; makes you pretty much immortal. --JunBerry 07:24, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
AND it takes the sting off of having to cast Mantra of Recovery in mid combat. --JunBerry 07:26, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

June 23rd 2015 patch[edit]

Does this work in conjunction with Healing prism? Aoe heals every time you use a mantra would be awesome..Thanks

No, for two reasons. First, Restorative Mantras only procs when you prepare a mantra, not when you use it. The second and in my opinion more surprising reason is that RM does not actually heal the mesmer preparing the mantra, just any allies (including illusions, phantasms) near them. --Silenceaux (talk) 00:09, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
I tested in HotM and it still heals the caster. Combat log does not show the healing however. --Fanolian (talk) 21:40, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
Bizarre. I was sure that I tested this and I couldn't get it to heal myself, but it definitely does. --Silenceaux (talk) 17:05, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
