Does this effect yourself[edit]

If I am near my phantasm does it give me regeneration as well.....because if it did. Then I probably could get a perfect anti condition and automatic protection with the right traites

Yes, it does, and yes, if you trait chaos and stand very near to your duelist you can maintain pretty high protection uptime. ~ Capric 23:42, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Is it bugged[edit]

The fact that every phantasm gives 5 sec of regen every 10 sec with the exception of phantasm duelist giving 3 sec of regen every 3 sec(which is constant regen). ...what makes phantasm duelist so special....really in my opinion only 5 secs of regen every 10 sec is a little under powered. And 3 sec of regen every 3 sec is a little over powered.....really can they just make it right down the middle with every phantasm giving 3 secs of regen every 4-5 secs.......opinions

"Bugged" is a difficult term, because it presupposes that you know the developers' intent. And while sometimes it's fairly easy to infer that intent, in this particular case it's not: the trait functions with all phantasms, it's just that the precise implementation varies slightly. Is that a bug? Who knows. I tend to be a bit conservative when deeming things bugs, so to me it's just a quirk for now. ~ Capric 13:51, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

I am just saying that it is a little weird that every phantasm except phantasmal duelist gives a 5 sec regen every 10 seconds. And phantasmal duelist is giving 3 seconds of regen every 3 seconds. So what that means is that they intended for only phantasmal duelist to give a different amount of regen. in a different amount of time. Or it's a bug...the reason that I imidiatly went to conclude that's its a bug is because it is the only phantasm that is different then the rest. As well as the fact that it is OP. simply because it only has a 12 sec cool down and after you summon it. It will give a constant regen after 3 seconds of summoning it. This means constant healing....but that's not what makes it OP. what makes it OP is when it is combined with another perk called illusionary membrane. What this means is that you are also getting a 2 sec protection every 3 seconds. That in combination with the constant healing as well as a build that is based on regeneration will make the player unstoppable. I was taking on 3 other people and it did not matter if they hit me because the damage was nerfd and I would simply heal right away. I was eventually stopped yes but it took al least 5 people constantly beetling on me and my phantasm for them to kill me.....however the other phantasms are underpowered as you would havE to wait 10 seconds for the regen to kick in. In that 10 seconds the phantasms would be gone due to a number of reasons. What I think would be fare is to make all the phantasms give regen every 4-5 seconds. As well as give a 2-3 sec regen. Really to me it seems to be a bug as it is the only phantasm that is out of place. Really if some of the phantasms were here and there with the regen I would get it. But only phantasmal duelist....really why would they do that

The wiki is for documenting what is, not what should be. ~ Capric 13:59, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

Huh.....this is the discussion page........ya the point of a wiki is to document info on a subject but this part of it is meant for people to communicate about the page. Or info in the page

The talk page is about improving the article on the skill, not about the skill itself.--Relyk 14:26, 27 October 2012 (PDT)

Range?[edit]

It's hard to test the range of the skill. My tests suggest ~150 for AE range as compared to the page's 240. This may have been a result of a change in the patch or maybe someone has a better method of guessing range than mine. I put a Mage (torch/5) on a golem and then tried to gauge the range as compared to the range of our various weapon skills. It's just a little further out than sword/1, which is 130 range.

Why a Mage? It's stationary and it's dps is so low, there's no danger it will kill the golem before you can check the range. Other phantasms may or may not have an identical range, but just from my quick checking (by trying to run into range for an iBerserker regen), it seems the same as Mage's.
