The sand pools are formed where elementals die (most of the time, as I did see a few randomly spawn under the boss). Himenoinu (talk) 06:46, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

That information just saved me hours of failed attempts. VBMeireles (talk) 17:05, 22 February 2015 (UTC)

Wicked Rodeo[edit]

"In the battle against the centaurs, elite foes will spawn that make the whole fight harder." I just soloed the achievement, and it does not spawn any elites. Maybe some more veterans than in normal mode. Can I change this ? Was this an actual gamechange or did the person just played with a party ? Minae Iss (talk) 13:42, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

Probably the latter. I think I didn't have any elites either. At least the boss makes up for it in difficulty when you fight him alone. Tyndel (talk) 14:00, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
I just made this same edit - I had a hard time with "Dodgy Crowd" but did "Wild Rodeo" straight after - the entire instance is identical, other than the boss. I attempted it both in party and solo. Rrylia (talk) 22:18, 30 December 2016 (UTC)

Also, if you are attempting this, the best tactic based on my experience from 10 or so attempts before I cleared it is trying to reflect the wind walls back at Togonn with Caithe's #3 skill. If in a party, bring a friend with reflect skills and attempt the same thing. It will cut his HP by 40%-50% and seems to skip all the phases in between as well. On my (solo) clear attempt, I caught him with a lucky one and he went from around 69% (ish - can't remember exactly) down to 14%. It didn't go straight to spawning 3+ Elementals (only 2 which is normal for 60% or so) and I only had to deal with crazy wind walls for like 2 "hits". When I otherwise worked his HP down, I was having to deal with wind walls from every direction and 3+ Elementals to get his shield down - which is incredibly hard! Ease of being Caithe depends on build[edit]

I've done this twice now, once as a condi-mancer build, once as a power-build minion-mancer. The second time around it was a lot easier because Caithe's skills don't really do condition damage and as a condi-mancer I added hardly anything to power and bits to ferocity. With a 'zerker type armour set her skills hit a whole lot harder and targets died a whole lot faster which made the fight go so much more quickly.

It took a bit of getting used to... I'm used to spamming wells and AOE nastiness on groups and watching them curl up and die all around me. Switching to largely single target, power-based DD is unusual and you need a build to drive it.--Eloise (talk) 16:04, 21 February 2018 (UTC)

Having done this mission recently, one thing I noticed is that her second skill applies poison and actually feels like it does a lot more damage than people think, as it applies multiple stacks at once. Knocked off 15% from Togonn during challenge mode, only way I managed to beat that. If you're a condition build, that's likely going to be your main attack.
