Inventory icon[edit]

Looks like a tribute to wooden potatoes to me. o:94.114.111.158 21:36, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

it's not even in the shape of a potato lumpy (talk) 08:40, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
It's not about actual potatoes, but about the person Wooden Potatoes. He's making lots of videos about GW2. You can see his logo at https://i.ytimg.com/vi/8u_zHlUm2cQ/mqdefault.jpg and also at the start of many of his videos on youtube. So yeah; it's most likely a reference to him. Just like ArenaNet added an NPC as a reference to Dulfy, they added that icon as a reference to Wooden Potatoes. :) --Saturn (talk) 01:10, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
if it was anything like dulfy, it'd be a little more blatant. "woodenpotatoes" does not own burls lumpy (talk) 07:09, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
Have you seen his signature branding in his videos? It's almost exactly like the icon for the item. Just because it's named burl rather than a Wooden Potato doesn't mean it's not a reference to him. A burl as defined by the other wiki is a type of rounded, deformed tree growth. If you go by your logic he may as well own GW2's version of burls, especially if they look almost the same as the ones he uses in his videos. The game has a lot of references to real people and other things, some much more obscure than this. Seylan (talk) 07:19, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Required Level 0?[edit]

Do the Freshwater Pearl, Maguuma Lily, and this item really require a level 80 item (to be inserted into)? The Trading Post and the ingame description seem to imply it has no level requirement:

Has anyone tried to upgrade a level 0 or 1 item with one of these gemstones? --138.75.212.57 14:16, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
