Talk:Light Bag of Booty/Drop rate

I attempted to edit in my Totem count, but it still shows as zero. If anybody can fix this issue, I'd appreciate it. I have also collected a Talisman of the Stout from this bag, but this is not an available entry in the table. for those who are curious, my stats after opening 200 bags are as follows for the items which give a random quantity:

  • Butter: x2 - 7, x3 - 5, x4 - 5, x5 - 5
  • Chocolate: x1 - 8, x2 - 5, x3 - 1
  • Thin Leather: x1 - 17, x2 - 9
  • Wool Scrap: x1 - 10, x2 - 8, x3 - 8

So for butter and wool, you are probably equally likely to get any amount, but the others are weighted to giving you the smaller stacks.--Eggman1405 (talk) 01:51, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

Updated Table[edit]

I've updated the table with a few of the items I received while opening 4 stacks (1000 total) of Light Bag of Booty. Video evidence of my opening and drops has been made available on my youtube channel here if you're interested. I've also calculated my average number of items received per drop from a LBoB for Butter/Chocolate/Thin Leather/Wool Scrap:

Butter:	416 items in 119 drops ~= 3.50 per drop
Chocolate:	147 items in 76 drops ~= 1.93 per drop
Thin Leather:	227 items in 144 drops	~= 1.58 per drop
Wool Scrap:	234 items in 122 drops	~= 1.92 per drop

Added Lapis Nugget[edit]

I've just opened 250 bags. Entered all the items I got in the table. Additionally, I got 1 Lapis Nugget which was unavailable in the table before. Edited the table to show this item as well. Added it to the template line as well. FieldBallistic (talk) 12:08, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Feedback 2023/03/08[edit]

Had a look at the code, and noticed a lot of it is not registering. The code format has changed at some point and/or it's not being processed properly anymore. I would've changed the formatting, keeping the original writers' names there of course, but I wasn't sure if it's ok to edit incomplete information so the system reads it. The old data didn't have "Total" or "Coins" in it, so the statistics would no longer be accurate due the unknown number of bags containing coins on top of the ones with items. Wasn't sure what to do with it, so posting as feedback instead. --Vampeloth (talk) 20:37, 8 March 2023 (UTC)

Adeira commented most of it out using html arrow comments <!-- like so -->. It seems they believe the manual total is an important parameter for this bag (which is probably true since at least 4 items have a chance to drop multiple - Thin Leather Section, Wool Scrap, Chocolate Bar, Stick of Butter) -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 20:53, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
I see. It's unfortunate that previous data becomes useless when how/what things are tracked changes. It used to be a % chance of dropping any at all, now it's an average of how many you get per bag. The upside: it makes keeping track of dropped loot easier going forward. --Vampeloth (talk) 22:35, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
