Sharpening Stone[edit]

Linked it to the skill. Wasn't sure what that meant and a wiki search landed me on the Ranger skill. Since this is a Ranger trait I went ahead and linked it since I imagine this trait gives the same effect. I imagine it just gives the same effect and doesn't put the actual skill in cooldown if it is equipt, which means a note should probably be added to clarify on this page. Though now that I think of it, should probably unlink the skill, give a note explaining what the sharpening stone does, then give another note linking to the sharpening stone skill. Does this trait only activate Sharpening Stone if you have it selected as a skill? Like lets say my 6 7 and 8 skills are 3 spirits, but I have this trait and sharpening stone unlocked, if I hit 75% health will it activate? 173.69.23.64 18:30, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

No, traits like this can activate without the skill being on your bar. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:44, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Good to know, thanks! 173.69.23.64 19:00, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Cooldown?[edit]

Is there a cooldown for this effect? Let's say I start at 100% health and drop to 60%, triggering Keen Edge. I then heal back to 80% health and take more damage that drops me to 50%. Would the effect trigger again?130.215.171.76 14:00, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

There does appear to be a cooldown, from testing it appears to be able to be used about once every minute and a half, it also should be mentioned that it does not stack with the ability and it will overwrite itself wasting it if you use sharpening stones too early. I would be really nice if they labeled this trait with the cooldown of it like almost every other trait in the game.

Who does it affect?[edit]

Is it activated when I strike a foe that is less than 75% health, or when I strike a foe while I have less than 75% health? *Malganis* 198.24.229.194 23:58, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Interaction with other traits[edit]

Does Sharpening Stone activated by Keen Edge receive benefit from Survival of the Fittest and Wilderness Knowledge? The in game description suggests it does, but that sounds a little to good to be true.--Amplifiction (talk) 12:28, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

Well, looks like it does interact with other traits. Awesome. --Amplifiction (talk) 21:47, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
