- I can't remember the source, but I seem to recall an interview in which it was stated that pets could be customized beyond just the name with things like color of the fur etc. Or that it was being considered at least. 199.245.34.11 13:00, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
The hounds seem to be no longer available at human ranger character creation.

Sigh. I was so disappointed that this pet wasn't available for newly created Human Rangers during the recent Beta event (the pet choices for a human were a Bear, Stalker, or Drake). Rhodesian Ridgeback[edit]

- I do have to agree. Yes Great Danes are the most similar species who typically have their ears cropped, but Fawn colored Danes usually have a very dark muzzle and more pronounced jowls than the Krytan Drakehound. With that exception I also agree that the Rhodesian Ridgeback looks more like the Krytan Drakehound than does a Great Dane.
- I am curious if the information stating that the Krytan Drakehound was based off a Great Dane was fact from the designer or simply an observation from whomever made that note. Where it the latter it should perhaps be edited to say "The drakehound's appearance seems to be modeled after..." instead. Just my two cents. :)

Are they charmable anymore?
every time I come across one, and get close to it the "(F)Charm" option never appears, and when I press F anyway nothing happens.

- Just to make sure, have you already unlocked this pet? Your pet panel (and list of pets) is defaulted to "K". I know I've made that mistake when taking a ranger to cap some of the HoT pets, only to realize I had capped it already. G R E E N E R 06:34, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
