Doing the heart now and there are surprisingly little foes around. I'm thinking this is a flaw/bug. ~ Sanna 21:15, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Same problem several months later. (23 June)

A few tar elementals attacked the gunners so assume is fixed. (4th August 2015)

Currently, the only way to advance on this heart is to lure the Champion Mordrem Thrasher into camp and have it kill the NPCs...and wait for long, long periods of time for one or two tar elementals to spawn and the Veteran Shaman to spawn (it took nearly 45 minutes for me). (19 November 2015)
