Talk:Heavy Miner's Bag/Drop rate

I created this page in hopes of spurring some drop rate research on it, per the template established on some other drop rate pages. I wanted to address some liberties I took with the template:

I modified the template to not list out specific Orbs or Crystals that drop. There's a couple reasons for this. First, while I'm not an expert here, I believe there's an item cap of 25 for this template, and looking at the drop lists from the bag page, it seems that would put us over the cap. Second, orbs/crystals appear (without me doing specific research to confirm) to have equal drop rates across the different types dropped. Third, in the interest of keeping this data useful, the crystals and orbs are not particularly useful, and it's unlikely anyone would be interested in that data anyway.

If any of this goes against any standards, or people disagree with these liberties, feel free to adjust them back out. 216.172.119.31 20:59, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

As long as users record receiving multiple of the same item at once, e.g. 3 gossamer scraps - as 1 entry in the table, everything should be ok. I can easily add further columns to the template. If you felt like typing in the extra rows for the orbs and other such items you omitted I'll remedy the template. (p.s. I'd use the labels to describe the volume per usage (e.g. 1x or 1-2x) rather than the name (its huge on small screens :D ) Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 21:33, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
That contradicts the instructions, which say: "write down the initial number of boxes, open them all, and then count up the number of items you have received." Which strategy should we be using? Temerity (talk) 08:45, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

7 bag opens: 6x 1ish silver, 2x 3 silk scraps, 1 thick leather section, 1 large claw, 1 large bone, 1 pile of incandescent dust, 1 ruby crystal. (lv 80, 155MF) Riika Chi (talk) 04:37, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
