Last edit doesn't look legit[edit]

Not sure if it's been patched lately, but this was not how it was working when I played this map. I could clearly see my attacks dealing 0 damage to the vortexes unless this effect was applied. – Valento msg 13:55, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

I played it last night, and the description said something like "Max health reduced to 1. Outgoing damage reduced by 99%." I distinctly remember the numbers, just not the exact phrasing. If the damage packet is less than 100, then 1% of that could round to 0 if the calculation uses a floor() method. I think the vortexes also have very high armor, reducing the damage even further.
We were able to damage the vortexes slightly (~30-50 damage per attack), but they have an invisible effect that heals them for 100% every second, so they're still impossible to kill without Fragile. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:39, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
If you attack a vortex without the 1hp buff on you, you do normal damage to it. Tried with ranger and necro, was able to remove ~5% of their hp several times. But as dr ishmael pointed out and as I wrote in my edit comment, they regen to 100% long before you can kill them, hence the need to use the 1hp buff so that you can one-shot them before they regen.
@Dr ishmael : I see that you edited again to clarify the Fragile buff effect on player. When did you play the mission ? Oddly I had ~500hp on my first 2 tries (ranger right after LS update, mesmer a few days ago) but really had exactly 1hp today when replaying it twice with my warrior and my necro ... I thought about vitality bonus but my war and necro both have one. So i thought that it may have been patched to actually reduce player's life to 1hp. Eowin (talk) 19:12, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
Read the beginning of my comment: last night. ;) I had 1651 health (warrior) and assumed it was because of Vitality, but it may be something else. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 22:33, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
OK :-) . I guess we need more testing to figure out the mechanics behind this. Eowin (talk) 22:38, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
