Talk:Elonian Greaves (skin)

There is an identical/replacement item with ID 84865: [&AgGBSwEA] that should probably replace this.

It comes out of the Desert Armor Box, WvW Reward Track. Same choice of sets but the items have been replaced with ones with Stats I believe. -- User:Frvwfr2 04:18, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

I've added the secondary ID. It's made the API link look weird. Anyone know how to fix that?--Rain Spell (talk) 17:01, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
I think we should remove the other ID, I bet it has been removed from the game. The issue is there is now like 60 other pages that are wrong too, all the rewards from this chest. Additionally, these now have a stat selection aspect, and are no longer a skin. So lots of changes to 60+ pages. -- User:Frvwfr2 17:02, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
It appears that a few things need to be done.
  1. Move all of the current skin pages to (skin). E.g. move Elonian Greaves to Elonian Greaves (skin) for skin ID 7475.
  2. Create a proper item page for the items. E.g. Use Elonian Greaves for the item ID 84865.
  3. Ensure that all other versions of the items have their skin links point towards the (skin) version. I believe this should be automatic. E.g Marshal's Elonian Greaves is pointing to Elonian Greaves (skin)
This should take care of things. Also, skin IDs and item IDs use a different numbering/naming/coding system. Skin ID 7475 is [&CjMdAAA=], while Item ID 84865 is [&AgGBSwEA]. The current page is trying to make 84865 into a skin, which isn't true.
P.S.: One good place to start for pages is to go to http://mymeanderingmind.com/GW2W_Easy_Mode/ and copy/paste the name of each Elonian armour piece. G R E E N E R 17:31, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
Did the Elonian armor section. Unsure if we want the set to be 'Elonian armor' or 'Elonian armor (light/medium/heavy)'? --Rain Spell (talk) 19:24, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
Completely missed your question, here. Use the (light/medium/heavy) for these armours, as that's how some pages gather their data (from the appropriate categories/properites being assigned). G R E E N E R 20:02, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
I haven't added the recipe sections for acquisition (just the contained in) because the recipe is for Harrier's specifically. I don't know how we'd incorporate the two.--Rain Spell (talk) 20:28, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
Nor do I. Anet's testing our organizational skills again, it seems. Thanks for taking care of those armour sets, though. Very much appreciated! G R E E N E R 20:33, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
