Talk:Dolyak Signet

Does Dolyak Signet technically break stun, since it grants stability? I suppose I should check if it's even usable while stunned. 66.69.0.156 21:56, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

No it doesn't. You need to hit it and finish activation before the control skill hits. If you want the stun-breaker too and instant activation, take Balanced Stance instead. 82.11.226.30 13:50, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
The current tooltip states that it breaks stun --IphStich (talk) 13:11, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Bad Description[edit]

This skill does not reduce incoming damage, it gives extra toughness. Toughness reduces most incoming damage, but it doesn't reduce condition damage, and the bonus from this skill changes depending on how much Toughness you have to begin with. If you have 900 Toughness this skill reduces 20% of incoming damage, but with 1800 Toughness it reduces 10% of incoming damage. If you played GW this is the difference between something like "Save Yourselves!" and "There's Nothing to Fear!". I'd like the developers to clarify this difference with a new description, something like: Gives extra toughness 2 * (10 + level). --XacTactX (talk) 05:22, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Bad descriptions are everywhere but that's why we have the wiki right here. I'm not sure if condition damage even counts as damage per se, it's more similiar to health loss – similiar to GW1 mechanic which not only ignored armor but also any damage reductions (like Protection). 86.50.88.145 05:50, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Note[edit]

Is the note regarding falling damage and condition necessary? The one above states that it gives toughness, and toughness doesn't reduce these damage types. --Oxyggjq (talk) 06:35, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Yes, it was quite redundant. Edited the note. Mediggo (talk) 08:07, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
