How is this fun? How does this buff fit within the Manifesto? I don't understand. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.168.104.82 (talkcontribs).

It's to prevent bosses and other key NPCs from being killed prematurely, to prevent players taking other team's spawning grounds in PvP, etc. etc. See invulnerability. Mediggo (talk) 06:20, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
If you mean WvW, you need a place to enter the map. A safe place where your enemies can't be waiting to kill you as soon as you get in. That same place also serves to revive yourself after getting killed. To make you safe there, you and the powerful NPCs guarding the perimeter, are invulnerable while you're there. All three WvW opponents have such a place on every WvW map, and those places can't be won over and have no point value. In PvE, monsters and bosses use this when they have an act to play, for the story. You need to watch and hear what they're saying, so you can't kill them at that time. --Alad (talk) 13:43, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
