This edit[edit]
Can anyone explain to me why a passive effect would have a duration? - Infinite - talk 15:56, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- Because it ends and reapplies itself every 10 seconds. Presumably if the boon is stripped you have to wait until it ticks over to get it back. --hexal 16:05, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- I didn't know passive boons could be stripped... Is there footage of the passive might boon being stripped? I am not doubting the validity of the edit, I just want to see it in action. :) - Infinite - talk 16:14, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- Not that I am aware of. Hence, "presumably". --hexal 16:17, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- Right, my bad. I'll be on the look-out. - Infinite - talk 16:32, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- Also, presumably, if you extend the boon by other means (such as Martyr) the signet might not apply its effect until the extended duration ends? When stripped, the signet's passive effect would already be recharged, and the boon could be replaced immediately. Mediggo 17:17, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- That much I doubt. It probably reapplies on a timer, not when it thinks its intelligent to do so. If its stackable then it may be of some benefit. Justice 01:44, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- Then what use is it to have another skill to grant might? The passive effect will keep reapplying itself regardless. In GW1, effects such as Block stack multiplicatively, so there's no such loss casting Guardian and then Weapon of Warding, because target gains very high block chance (this is an example, no need to dwell on it). If someone's support focuses on applying boons such as might to other allies, they would be much less effective for allies with this passive effect or any other signets. Gotta wait for the game to be released to find out, I guess. ~_~ Mediggo 12:29, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- Some boons and conditions stack for better effect. Beyond that, there is no point and you need to choose your skills more wisely is all. Also note, boons can be stripped so having multiple copies wouldnt be horrible, just not essential. Justice 08:32, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) (Source) The character has Bane Signet equipped (and the might begins flickering after about 7 seconds (indicating it's about to end) and then might is immediately reapplied.) Aqua (T|C) 18:23, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- To Infinite: Necromancers have skills that strip or convert boons into conditions like Feast of Corruption, Corrupt Boon, Well of Corruption. --Messenger 15:12, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
