Chain skill?[edit]

@Mora, mainly; I see nothing in the pc gamer refence article saying that air blast and backdraft are chain skills. I don't remember seeing anywhere else that its so either. Unless i missed something, that part of the infobox needs to be pulled Thering 17:29, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Similar to this, it was supposed to show that you get the skill after "equipping" the flamethrower (i.e. using the skill), however that would mean that one could use only 1 skill per equip, which is of course false. I'd say Weapon: Flamethrower will do just fine. User Noxx Sig.png 17:35, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

TF2 reference?[edit]

This seems to be very similar to the compression blast (aka Air Blast) that the Pyro's flamethrower uses in Team Fortress 2. It can knockback and deflect projectiles, as in TF2. Should this be added as a trivia note? --Thief tango icon 20px.png Jacob talk ...ninja... 10:22, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

It is unarguably a TF2 reference. I don't see how it could be a mere coincidence that Guild Wars 2 gives the flamethrower an Air Blast feature just after TF2 established/popularised flamethowers with an Air Blast feature. Especially since Team Fortress 2 is such a big part of popular media, and such a popular and well-recognised video game, there is no doubt this is an homage to TF2's pyro. 216.185.250.92 20:19, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Burning?[edit]

It doesn't seem to trigger all the time. Is it bugged? Luck-based? Does it require some weird condition? --Rashid (talk) 23:54, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

I can't get it to trigger at all. Tried it close range, mid range, etc and when it's just blowing a mob back, it never seems to burn them. Maybe it only burns if it reflects a projectile? -Auron 01:20, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
I actually only just noticed that bit of the tooltip and looked it up here. To clear up confusion: it lengthens /existing/ burning durations, rather than applying a new (duration) stack entirely. It only adds 2s of burning if a target is already burning - guess it's to do with fanning the flames or something. 81.155.226.208 19:54, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
