Underpowered stats?[edit]

I've just crafted this item, and it seems to me to be woefully underpowered. Selecting Celestial, it only gives +10 to each attribute. When you compare this to a ring, or amulet, it offers 1/4 of the stats that the ring/amulet offers. This can't be right can it? 86.20.65.68 15:24, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Yep, that's right. Back items give the lowest stat boosts of all equipment slots. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:31, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Note about transmutations[edit]

One of the notes listed is: "Can be used after transmutation in the Mystic Forge." Is this not true for any object? Caused confusion in map chat because someone was trying to use an object they had transmuted into Advanced Spinal Blades in the mystic forge. Someone else mentioned that the note was more for before the (recent?) wardrobe changes where they were actually a new item. I've removed the note as I don't think it's relevant any more. Feel free to revert if anyone has information that I don't. Chillman (talk) 04:59, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

I just upgrade this to ascended, and mine was transmuted. This is just an issue of tooltip not being updated. --Voidvector (talk) 21:35, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
There may be versions of this backpack which players transmuted prior to the current skin system being implemented. These old transmuted versions may not work, and I believe the note is meant to speak to them. Glad to know that the new skin system doesn't impede the process. If that's the case, shouldn't there be a new ID for the new version? Sythe 18:21, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
Maybe? Perhaps the old system took the information from the two items and combined it in a manner that didn't work well with the MF. Perhaps people thought that when the objects were combined it was the skin ID that mattered and not the item ID in the MF, and Anet had to clarify. Or Anet might have had the MF look up more information than just the item ID back then (heck it may still look up more). G R E E N E R 18:48, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
