Guild Wars 2 Wiki talk:Quietly deal with vandals

I dislike point 3, specifically "put a ban tag on the IP/account's user page". Edits to the admin noticeboard show up in watchlists, pages added to categories don't. -- Gordon Ecker 05:47, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Not to mention the fact that it's tacky and easily abused/removed. MisterPepe talk 06:14, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
I find categories much more useful, cuz you can easily see what has been dealt with and what hasn't. --MP47 (Talk) (Contr.) 11:51, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Tbh I think GWW's admin noticeboard works very well. Lord of all tyria 19:10, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
I've always found it very effective, as it's on most, if not all admins' watchlists, and most other major editors, so input is often given quickly for non-bot situations. Calor (t) 19:25, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
If anything, posting something on the admin noticeboard is more "quiet" than sticking a ban template on a vandal's/bot's/troll's userpage. -- Brains12Talk 19:30, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
For spotting resolved and unresolved issues, putting a check mark in the section headers for resolved issues on the noticeboard could handle it. -- Gordon Ecker 00:31, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
That would work I guess--MP47 (Talk) (Contr.) 21:49, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Yup, I've asked both of them and waiting for a response. Sorry for the trouble.--MP47 (Talk) (Contr.) 00:22, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I've gotten approval from both of them, although Entropy wishes the community to reword it as they see fit. --MP47 (Talk) (Contr.) 19:58, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
