Ethereal is an effect applied to the angry spirits in Spirit Vale after they have passed through the black swirling AoE. When an enemy has this effect, direct damage will cause 0 damage, but Condition Damage will be unhindered. The buff will decay after time or can be removed by any boon stripping ability such as Mind Spike. This buff is similar to the invulnerability encountered with the Blue Guardian.
