So...

Where does the term "World event" come from? The only time I remember seeing it was in The Lost Shores to refer to the overarching meta event for the entire storyline. I don't recall it being used to refer to these daily-chest events. —Dr Ishmael 01:33, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

All events are labeled "World event" in the UI tooltip... ArenaNet pretty much says world event in place of dynamic event or group event in the forum posts. They used it for posts about "World megabosses" and the chests (they didn't even say "Bonus Chest" or anything; daily chest is also a bad term), which confuses people. <edit> Checking says they don't explicitly use "world event" but I'm assuming the use of "World mega bosses" has people make the connection.--Relyk ~ talk > 01:58, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
