Inconsistent sub-categories[edit]

Aside from the fact that these sub-categories are unique (though I'm not sure why they should remain such), they are also lacking consistency. I think we should keep all language sub-categories in lower case for the abbreviations and keep the capital N for native. Per example, "Users/Language/EN-3" would be recreated as "Users/Language/en-3" (though I'd prefer if all these categories would be renamed altogether, where the example recreation would end up at "Users who use an advanced level of English" which would be a sub-category of "Users who use English" which would then be a sub-category of "Users by language" (though arguably that is overdoing things)). - Infinite - talk 15:08, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

It's a standard established by Wikipedia's Babel project (Category:Wikipedians by language). Not to say that we can't use a different scheme, of course. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:24, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
Aye, but regardless of what the system is, our execution of it is inconsistent. We can alter the babel template to a new system at any time, though. - Infinite - talk 15:34, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
I wasn't refuting the need for standardization, although I should've made that clear first. Personally, I like the "original" Babel categories for their conciseness, although I realize that few people are as familiar with the ISO abbreviations as I am. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:45, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
