If...

• "Burst skill" is within the "Warrior skills" category
• Eviscerate is within the "Burst skill" category
• Eviscerate is within the "Warrior skills" category

...Then Eviscerate is twice within the same category. Either we change this category tree, or we remove one of those categories from Eviscerate. Erasculio 13:53, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

the way I see it, "warrior skills" is an overview of all skills, while "burst skills" is a more psecific category. There's no reason you can't have it as it is. Rather i prefer it this way. "There's no reason you can't have it as it is": the article is twice within the same category, which doesn't make sense. If "burst skill" is more specific than "warrior skill", then adding only "burst skill" would be enough (considering how we don't add "Category: Skills" to all skills, rather we use the more specific subcategories).

Because, as mentioned, "there are a lot of points to discuss yet" - the categorization by type has not been mentioned at the article I linked to, which means it's not possible to "leave the discussion on that page". Mentioning here how this category is being improperly used not only helps to make more people notice the main issue, but it also makes clear how no decision has been reached on the category system, including how to use the category "Burst skill". Hopefully it will prevent people in the future from just stating "You could argue the same about the "Axe skills" cat" and similar comments, in which there is the assumption that categories improperly used that have not been individually discussed are a precedent for the improper use of categories. In general with any category tree, a page should only be in the most specific category(ies). In other words, take Eviscerate out of Category:Warrior skills.

This category needs renaming to Category:Burst skills - cat names should be plural. pling 15:37, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
