source? for this one and armorsmith (i just would like to know ^^) --The Holy Dragons 21:05, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

http://vid.buffed.de/v/mvzjEXAUHA7/Guild-Wars-2/Wartower-Spotlight-GC-2010-Folge-7/ Somewhere in that video, I'm not sure exactly at what time though, but the character walks up to an armorsmith and looks through armor. Valyster 21:43, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Weaponsmith NPC vs. Weaponsmith crafting discipline[edit]

Need a disambig or something. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 18:07, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Move the vendor page to Weaponsmith (vendor) and reuse this page the crafting version which is more likely to get the hits. -- aspectacle User Aspectacle.png 22:04, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Create a Table?[edit]

I've posted this on the leatherworking discussion page as well. Should we create a table that helps organize the items better?

Recipes bought with coin.[edit]

I have some weaponsmith recipes (400 w/smith required) which I bought for 5s each from a vendor near Jormag's Claw in Frostgorge Sound. I was going to put them in the Unique weapons section as they are learned not discovered but the tagline for the Unique section says bought from karma vendors. So do I make a new section for these weapons or change the Unique tagline to include recipes bought for coin? Bluestone 19:14, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Leveling[edit]

I was just wondering if anyone could shed light on the mechanics of crafting? I've been trying to level up as fast as I can, but it takes so long, the drops are now 10-15 levels higher than what I can make. Does this continue, or do you really need to continue to craft to craft weapons better than the drops? Does anyone have any advice on how to level up faster as a weaponsmith to be able to craft better weapons? ~ Silken Prism talk 17:43, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Personally I didn't bother with crafting until I was 80 on my weaponsmith guy, at which time I had been through all tier zones and had enough to get through most crafting levels easily. I didn't need to craft gear while leveling because the karma heart vendors always had decent master (green name) gear anyway. All that doesn't help if you specifically want to craft your own gear to use while leveling though, to which I don't know how to accomplish efficiently.
Aside from that are you aware of the discovery tab? It is by far the best way to level crafting. Though I struggle when I try to explain it via text sorry... Bluestone 19:43, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Rare Weapons[edit]

What format do we want to use for adding the rare weapons into this list? Should it be done similar to the way the exotic pearl weapons are added? Because I've got access to most, with particular emphasis on shields, maces, and greatswords. Would be able to add bandit, ogre, dredge, and krait weapons to this list, which can be crafted through discovery. Added them to GS, Mace, Shield as best I could, if that format works we can more or less add the rest, as they will follow the same pattern. Not sure of the names for all items though, unless someone really wants me to craft them to check... BladeArrowney 22:42, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

I had assumed that this page was only listing the base item name for each tier (Bronze Axe (simple) > Bronze Axe > Iron Axe > Steel Axe > Darksteel Axe > Mithril Axe > Pearl Reaver) Where Pearl Reaver is the most equivalent to a base item at tier 6. And thus any variations of each tier would be listed in the Weaponsmith recipe pages (ie. Weaponsmith/Mithril_recipes ) Bluestone 21:09, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Screwed up the tables.[edit]

The editor that combined inscriptions within the tables made the tables ugly, hard to read and less useful for their intended purpose. The way the editor presented them requires someone to already know how crafting works to understand they only need one of the inscriptions listed which may cause a problem for people who come to the wiki to learn how to craft as a weaponsmith. I am about to revert their changes, if you still believe your way is better please open discussion on it here. Thanks. Bluestone 18:37, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

I ended up just tidying the way it was presented. Only had time to do the Axe table so far. Bluestone 18:57, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
That was me, I like the "either" option though. I wanted to consolidate the "simple/master" options as it cluttered up the table and made it seem like there were more options than there actually were. I'll help out adding the "eithers" to the other tables since I was the one who put in doubles. Nefara
And done! You're off the hook. I think it's clear and concise now, and very easy to read visually. Nefara

Sigil of Doom[edit]

I added the higher skill req version of Minor Sigil of Doom to the table. I'm not sure of the protocol for these, but it seems to me they're entirely relevant to a table that lists the Sigils/Runes that can be made, even if the result is identical to the lower level skill (especially useful to those trying to craft efficiently). However, the existing entry for Major Sigil of Doom was wrong or has been changed since being added, since the 1 Steel Ingot + 1 Molten Fragment that was shown at 375 skill level instead created a Minor Sigil of Doom (Rare) at skill level 175, for me, and I don't believe two recipes can be identical at different skill levels. In any event, the data for the Major is "unknown" on the sigil page itself, so I assumed it was an error here and just left it as unknown here. I left the 375 skill requirement on this table (a data point that is also unknown on the sigil page) until it can be verified with proper components and updated. Sorry for the wall of text, but there's so much incorrect/contradictory/missing data re runes/sigils at the moment, I thought it reasonable to be clear what I modified and why. Grawl Axe is gone[edit]

As per this video of someone who got the recipe in Beta but could no longer find it after release. --Messenger 13:47, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Destroyer Weapons?[edit]

Some of the Destroyer weapons can be made by 400 Weaponsmiths, but they are not mentioned at all in the Weaponsmith page. Should at least some reference be added?

The same seems to be the case for the Artificer page; the Huntsman page, however, correctly references the fact that a 400 Huntsman can make Destroyer weapons.

Edit: Well, I had some unexpected free time, so I just did it myself. Hope nobody minds. Christars 16:53, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

T6Blade + T6Hilt+ ectoplasm + ?[edit]

There are 7 recepts discovarable who look like this but i do not know what is missing nor are these recepts mentioned in the wiki. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 91.15.19.82 (talk) at 16:11, 20 September 2013 (UTC).

Non-craftable inscriptions. They are listed on the weapon pages, e.g. Pearl Broadsword, the second half of the table. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:55, 21 September 2013 (UTC)

Unique Swords Table Needs Fixing[edit]

How do you fix the sword table of the Unique Weapons section? Lionguard-Issue Sword appears twice while Wooden Sword remains unlisted. --Messenger (talk) 15:28, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Wooden Sword didn't have recipe type set, fixed. Lionguard sword is duplicated due to a bug in SMW, nothing we can do to fix it right now. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 16:35, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Feedback 2016/10/11[edit]

Aren't there more Recipe-only items (from HoT) crafted by Weaponsmith to be added to the article? --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 17:29, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

You are correct. I didn't realize how many of the items listed were hard coded rather than looked up by the wiki. I'll be the first to say that having the lists auto-populate and format is beyond my skills. G R E E N E R 21:56, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
I'm trying to add the Chieftan's Mace but I don't know how. :-( --Messenger (talk) 14:16, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
Good job on noticing it was missing from the list. Because the list is populated by queries, that points to something being wrong or missing in the item listing. Comparing Chieftan's Mace to Copper Mace shows that that the recipe listing was missing "Type = Mace"; once I added that, it was pulled in to the list :) SarielV 20 x 20px 16:34, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
