Dialogue[edit]
During Flame and Frost: Retribution[edit]
- At Black Citadel Refugee Camp
- Oh. How nice to see you again. This completes my happiness today. I'm back in the Citadel, celebrating a victory, with you. Join us at the bonfire, and let's savor our success.
- Heard any updates?
- Word is that the Molten rats are on the run. The Vigil, Wolfborn, and Adamant Guard are caging them with prejudice. Some are even in the Citadel prison. I'll be interrogating them soon.
- That is good news.
- Thanks.
During Festival of the Four Winds[edit]
- At The Crown Pavilion
- I like Queen Jennah. Opening up the Crown Pavilion to benefit Lion's Arch is the kind of gesture a great ruler would make. And this time, we know Scarlet won't foul things up
- Can I ask you a question?
- I'm at attention and at your service. Ask away.
- Why are you here today?
- We're here for the festival to support Lion's Arch, but after that it's back to work. Scarlet may be dead, but she left a lot of questions in her wake. We're going to answer them.
- Tell me about Scarlet Briar. (Same as "Tell me about Scarlet Briar" below)
- What happened the last time you were at the Crown Pavilion?
- Scarlet showed up and made a huge, nasty mess of things. She set off bombs and kidnapped people and made the watchknights turn against the citizens they were built to protect.
- Why did she do all that? (Same as "Why did she do all that?" below)
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Braham seems eager to fight in the Pavilion.
- I know he is, but I'm not sure he's ready. He hasn't shaken the bad luck that got him injured in the first place. I'd hate to see pride and stubbornness make his leg worse.
- I agree. We Beat Scarlet, so I'd hate to see her have the last laugh.
- Don't worry, boss. I'm on it. I've actually got the easy job. I just have to keep Braham out of trouble. Jory and Kas have Taimi.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Tell me about Scarlet Briar.
- She was a sylvari engineer who dedicated her time to forging odd alliances, amassing advanced weapons and attacking places where people gather. She did a lot of damage before we stopped her.
- Why did she do all that?
- Nobody knows for sure, but the short answer is that she was driven mad by something she saw and heard that nobody else could see or hear. Whatever that thing is, it's our next target.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Where's Taimi?
- She's in Labyrinthine Cliffs to check out the Zephyrites' magic. Jory and Kas will have their hands full keeping her out of trouble.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Good-bye.
- Well, we know that won't happen this time.
- Or ever again, thanks to you and Kas. If I had to do it over again, I'd still stick with Braham...but that's why we're all such a great team: we work together, and the job gets done.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Right. We all had an equal share in that victory, no matter who struck the final blow.
- Well said. Let's enjoy the festival.
- Ambient dialogue
- Heal-o-Tron: Your—information—is—outdated, constable. I—have—already—paid—my—societal—debt—to—Divinity's—Reach.
- Heal-o-Tron: The—Lionguard—has—recruited—me—as—an—emergency—relief—worker. I—am—here—today—in—that—capacity.
- Ministry Guard: Tell it to the tribunal. You're a known collaborator. You sang for Scarlet. Come quietly or I'll dismantle you.
- Braham Eirsson: Whoa there! Did you just threaten a hero of Lion's Arch?
- Rox: That little guy saved a lot of lives when Scarlet attacked the city.
- Rox: If you want him, you'll have to go through us. And afterward you'll answer to Magnus the Bloody-Handed himself.
- Ministry Guard: I-er-Grenth's teeth! If your story doesn't pan out, I'll be back.
- Heal-o-Tron: Thank—you—for—your—assistance. Returning—to—Divinity's—Reach—was—a—concern, as—I—was—not—sure—I'd—be—allowed—to—leave.
- Rox: And the fact that you came anyway proves you're worthy of respect.
- Heal-o-Tron: I—had—to—come. Lion's—Arch—still—needs—help—that—I—am—in—a—position—to—provide.
- Braham Eirsson: Stick close. If the law hassles you again, I want to be there to set 'em straight.
- Heal-o-Tron: Agreed. And—if—the—local—authorities—do—incarcerate—me, I—hope—you—will—buy—my—billet.
- Rox: I don't think they do that here. But rest assured. If they lock you up, we'll get you out. One way or the other.
- Rox: How do you think Jory and Kas are doing with Taimi?
- Braham Eirsson: I figure by now, Kas wants to adopt her; Jory wants to stuff her in a bag. Or maybe vice versa.
- Braham Eirsson: Either way, each will stop the other from getting what they want.
- Rox: You miss the little squirt, don't you? Never really pictured you as a willing babysitter for someone like her.
- Braham Eirsson: What can I say? Norn love a challenge.
- Braham Eirsson: Tell me the truth. Was Rytlock furious you chose to help me over killing Scarlet yourself?
- Rox: It's hard to tell. Rytlock mad is a lot like Rytlock overjoyed. Or Rytlock sleeping.
- Braham Eirsson: Well, did he say anything? Offer congratulations? Threaten you?
- Rox: All I got was a dispatch from him after it all went down. It said, "Interesting choice. Now live with it.
- Braham Eirsson: Oh. So, uh...is that good or bad?
- Rox: Your guess is as good as mine.
- Rox: For the last time, no. I'm not going to try to hit you.
- Braham Eirsson: I'm fully healed, and I can prove it. Take a shot. I insist. Come on, hit me. Hit me!
- Rox: (sigh) Fine. Frostbite?
- Braham Eirsson: Okay, maybe I'm not ready for the Pavilion. But I took that better than I thought I would. I'm almost fully healed.
- Rox: Burn me, you're just not gonna let this go, are you?
- Braham Eirsson: Just stop your whining and hit me again. Come on! Hit me!
- Rox: Frostbite says all this bluster and attitude you've been giving me about your leg is just you blowing smoke.
- Braham Eirsson: Oh, yeah? What does he say this smoke is covering up?
- Rox: That you know what choosing you over the warband cost me. And you feel guilty about being so snotty to me beforehand.
- Rox: He says you're too proud to say all that, but if you just said thanks, I'd know you meant all the rest.
- Braham Eirsson: That devourer of yours is awfully talkative for something that can't actually speak. And, uh...Rox?
- Rox: Yeah?
- Braham Eirsson: Thanks.
