Walkthrough[edit]
Inside the Lost Altar, fight the Scared Wanderer. When it's at 25% health, use the Purge Corruption special action and defeat the Incarnation of the Parasite to successfully finish the event.

- Rift Hunter Helvig: They had you locked in here for a reason, creature. You attacked us!
- Scared Wanderer: Locked in? That was my barrier. You are minions of the feeders, are you not? I will not be consumed!
- Lieutenant Scaldfist: Hold! Both of you! We're on the same side!
- Lieutenant Scaldfist: Damn it, Helvig! You're out of line!
- Rift Hunter Helvig: I'm out of line? We risked our lives for a demon. On your orders!
- Lieutenant Scaldfist: If they're all as bad as you seem to think, why was this one fighting back? Why is Peitha helping the ward?
- Rift Hunter Helvig: I... I don't know. I'm just doing my job -
- Lieutenant Scaldfist: I told you, your job is following my orders. Now shut your mouth and move your ass. All of you, back to camp!

- On failure the Wanderer will execute a special skill that instantly defeats anyone in a wide area, even outside the cave. The affected area is at least as wide as the event circle on the map.
