Archives[edit]

In the future, please don't edit archives. They are to be maintained in the state at which they were archived for reference. If you want to restart an old topic, bring it up again on the respective talk page. Aqua (T|C) 21:20, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. I actually didn't realize that it WAS an archive page - I was rereading all the bitc--- the complaints about the engineer for so long that I forgot it was archived. For future reference, how could I show that a post from me is in reply to a thread from an archive (other than just saying that)? Is there a way to link to that part of the page in the title, or would I just have to say something like "@ <original poster> in the 2011 archive: <message>."? Also, sorry for using forum terminology, but that's what many people treat Talk Pages like. Thunderduck 22:17, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
That is not what the wiki is for, though; the forumesque environment is no longer a permitted way to edit talk pages (outside of user space). - Infinite - talk 22:52, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
I'm aware, and actively try to prevent that attitude when I do contribute here. I just wanted to explain why I was using terms like "post" and "thread". Are there more proper words to use? Thunderduck 23:53, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
Edit / contribution and discussion, respectively.
That said, it's kind of like using the past tense by accident when learning a new language. People will point and laugh, but everyone will understand what you mean. User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.png A F K When Needed 02:18, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Vandalism talk pages[edit]

If a vandal makes a page, please do not comment on the talk page. It just adds a page for deletion. Aqua (T|C) 02:37, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
